Who you are dealing with

thinkerbox.ie is run by Iddo Diamant, trading as ThinkerBox, a sole trader established at The Tara Building, 11-15 Tara Street, Dublin 2, D02 RY83, Ireland. Contact: iddodiamant@gmail.com.

These terms cover this website and the AI and tech readiness check. They do not cover paid evaluation work, which runs on a separate written agreement between me and the client.

How your personal data is handled is set out in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.

Using the readiness check

The check is free and open to anyone working in an organisation. It is meant for adults working in a professional capacity, not for anyone under 18.

Answer for a unit you are actually part of and entitled to describe, and answer it honestly. A response that is not an honest attempt produces a result that means nothing, and the instrument has two internal checks that will usually spot it.

Do not put personal details about other people into the open question, and do not put anything into it that your organisation would not want written down outside its own systems. There is nothing in the check that requires either.

Take it once for yourself. If you want a second read on the same organisation, have a colleague take it separately rather than answering twice.

What the result is, and what it is not

The result is an indication of where your organisation sits, where you sit, and the fit between the two, based on what you told me and nothing else. It is information to think with.

It is not professional advice, legal advice, or regulatory advice. It is not an audit, an assessment, a certification, or an accreditation of any kind. It does not confirm that your organisation complies with the EU AI Act, data protection law, or any other obligation, and it is not evidence of compliance to a regulator, a funder, or anyone else.

Do not make a decision that needs professional advice on the strength of it. If a decision matters that much, get advice, and I am happy to be one of the people you ask.

Confidentiality

Your answers and your result are treated as confidential.

I do not disclose an individual's response or result to their employer, their colleagues, or anyone else, whoever asks and whatever reason they give.

I do not name your organisation, describe it identifiably, or quote what you wrote, in anything I publish, present, or send to anyone. Where I publish patterns drawn from responses they are aggregate, and no figure is published for a group of fewer than ten responses.

What you can do with your result

Your result is yours. Use it inside your organisation, forward it to your leadership, put it in front of a board or a funder, quote it in a paper. That is what it is for.

The framework behind the check, the questions, the option wording, the position and pattern names, and the wording of the summary and the report stay mine. Please do not reproduce the instrument itself, run it as your own, resell it, or use it to build a competing assessment.

Availability

The check is offered as it is. I make no promise that the site or the check will be available at any given time, and I can change, pause or withdraw it without notice.

The instrument is in active development. The wording, the items and the output text will keep changing as real responses come in. A result you get today may not match one you would get in six months, and neither one is wrong.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or the check, or from any decision taken on the basis of a result. That includes lost profit, lost opportunity, business interruption, and any indirect or consequential loss.

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by anything here.

Where I link out, that is because the source is worth reading. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for what is on them.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of any mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may be able to bring proceedings there.

Changes

If these terms change I will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated terms apply.
